Our Company
Kennedy, Porter & Associates, Inc. (KPA) was founded in 1971 and since then has provided Civil and Structural Engineering for public agencies, private companies, and individual owners throughout the Mid Atlantic.
Our relatively compact firm size lends itself to efficient and top priority handling of project assignments. KPA’s in-house staff includes 7 Maryland registered Professional Engineers, with all projects completed under the supervision of a principal of our firm. The principals of KPA keep active in the design aspects of their respective disciplines and this “in-the-trench” philosophy adds to our capabilities when the need arises and quick action is necessary on an assignment. KPA has a reputation for producing professional engineering services within the agreed upon time schedule and within the client’s budget amount.
KPA is located centrally in Baltimore City, directly between the convenience of the Woodberry light rail station and the Avenue in Hampden. We are committed to Baltimore, and are proud to support the City, its schools and its students:
- KPA provides mentors and financial sponsorship to ASCE’s Future City competition for Baltimore City schools.
- We are annual sponsors of Baltimore Green Week events produced by Parks and Recreation.
- We have provided pro bono design services to Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity, allowing 15 Baltimore families the opportunity of homeownership.
- KPA has internship positions available to Baltimore students interested in engineering.
