US 219 Pedestrian Walkway

KPA designed a segment of a new hiker/biker trail along US 219 in Garrett County. The trail is approximately 630 feet long and 6 feet wide. Our work included grading design, sediment and erosion control, maintenance of traffic design and coordination of site lighting design and geotechnical exploration.
410 feet of the trail is carried by a timber boardwalk over wetlands. KPA analyzed and designed the timber piling system and timber deck.
