Dorchester County Bridge Inspections
As part of an on-call engineering project with the State Highway Administration, KPA performed inspections, condition assessments and provided repair recommendations for 20 bridges Dorchester County.
Seven bridges required underwater inspections, one bridge required inspection with a snooper. Bridges included precast concrete, cast-in-place concrete and timber. All bridges were over tidal waterways.
As part of this inspection contract, KPA performed one emergency inspection with repair recommendations for an historic “hump-backed” timber bridge that had been set on fire by vandals.
