Frederick County and Frederick City Bridge Inspections As part of an on-call engineering project with the State Highway Administration, KPA performed inspections, condition assessments and provided repair recommendations for 39 bridges in the City of Frederick, as well as176 additional bridges in Frederick County. 12 of the Frederick County Bridges were comprised of through trusses or pony trusses with fracture critical pins and/or “eye” bar chord members. KPA directed the non-destructive ultrasonic testing of all the fracture critical members.
