Major expansion of the Woodbine Earth Station facility.
The project consisted of an 8,500 square foot addition to an existing office building, expansion of existing parking areas, and the installation of 16 new antenna site. Each antenna site consists of a satellite dish, up to 48 feet in diameter, an accessory electrical building, propane tanks, walkways and access drives.
The Kennedy, Porter & Associates, Inc. served as civil engineer of record for the project. Work included:
- Hydrologic and hydraulic studies and flood plain analysis for two streams
- Stormwater management design, including infiltration basins, swales, catch basins and piping.
- Paving and grading design
- Sediment and erosion control design
- Site appurtenance design (stairs, sidewalks, fences, antenna pads
- Coordination of septic system expansion, including force main and pumping station (by subconsultant).
- Coordination of topographic and metes-and-bound survey (by subconsultant)
- Coordination of forest stand delineation, wetland delineation and forest conservation work (by subconsultant).
